Bill Athanasellis

Bill has practised as a lawyer both in Queensland and Victoria. He has over 20 years experience as a lawyer in litigation, dispute resolution and workplace relations. Bill acts for clients in the mining, transport, sugar, meat and building and construction industries on a wide range of employment law and industrial relations issues.

His expertise covers all areas of employment and industrial relations including drafting employment contracts, anti-discrimination and sexual harassment matters, general protections applications, termination of employment, industrial disputes, workplace health and safety incidents and workplace health and safety prosecutions.

Dan Pratt

Dan has over 16 years experience in the field of industrial relations and employment. Dan joined FAC in late 2013 leaving a thriving practice as a barrister. Dan’s joining the team at FAC means the firm’s clients who find themselves faced with litigation can readily avail themselves of Dan’s litigation experience and skill set. Dan possesses a great depth of experience which includes strategy, advice and advocacy in courts and tribunals in matters including adverse action, underpayment, anti-discrimination, breach of contract, unlawful industrial action, dismissals, safety prosecutions, workers’ compensation matters. Dan’s experience also includes drafting court documents, conducting investigations and drafting reports on findings of fact, drafting/negotiating workplace agreements and drafting employment contracts. Dan’s experience spans industries like construction, mining, transport, manufacturing, automotive, retail/wholesale and maritime.

As well as extensive litigation experience, Dan has enjoyed many years of working in partnership with clients advising them on options and assisting them to find solutions to IR and employment law problems without having to resort to litigation. Dan has worked with all of the major unions in Australia and brings a professional, practised and pragmatic approach to working through complex industrial relations matters and strategies where avoiding litigation is a high priority.
